The flute studio is based in Acomb York, YO26. It’s a very relaxed space, with hot drinks and cosy vibes to help you feel relaxed and comfortable in your lessons.
I teach from absolute beginners who have never picked up a flute before, up to Master’s music students looking to refine detailed work. I teach across a range of genres and styles, to try and connect your playing with what YOU love about music. That’s why I plan individualised curriculums for every student; no two people are the same so why would their lessons be identical?
We’ll devise goals together, and work without pressure to reach them. I send out detailed practice notes after every lesson so you know exactly what we’ve done and how to progress. Some students have weekly lessons, others work on a more casual ‘as needed’ basis.
I have a wide range of music to rifle through in the studio, from pop covers to Debussy to Bach, along with tools to help with improvisation. There are also recording facilities available, meaning we can monitor progress together and create new tracks – you could even make your own album!
I offer a free consultation lesson. After that it’s:
